Song Of The Day : Songs From ” Songs That Saved My Life “

We are changing up our usual Song Of The Day today to include several recently released covers by some of our favorite bands. Bands such as Dance Gavin Dance, The Maine, Neck Deep, and more came together and recorded songs for the compilation album for Songs That Saved My Life.

The Songs That Saved My Life brand is centered around artists and fans and benefits mental health and suicide prevention charities, currently, they are working with To Write Love On Her Arms, The Trevor Project, Hope For The Day, and Crisis Text Line.

We have said many times here on the blog that songs have a certain way of getting you through a rough time in your life. Each of us here has that one song that we hold dear for that reason. Mine is Miserable At Best by Mayday Parade. Lizz’s is You’re Not Alone ( piano version )  by Saosin  Naomi told me hers was Hey Jude by The Beatles, and Brittany chose Everything Will Be Alright by The Killers The bands that are featured on the Songs That Saved My Life album have shared songs that have gotten them through tough times also.

We thought it was a record and a cause that needed to be brought to your attention, plus you can hear some really great music. But first up the trailor video from STSML showing some of the artists that took part in the album….

Now on to the music!

Dream State ” Crawling “

About Teri (1872 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
