Song Of The Day: Start The Week Over ” Up Tonight “

New York power-pop band Start The Week Over has released its newest single title Up Tonight, along with a companion lyric video.

The new single is an upbeat emo-rock song about confessing your love for someone through the simple act of staying up together. The track takes influence from emo revival like Modern Baseball and Into It. Over It., but features a Deftones inspired breakdown (1:43), and a stripped acoustic outro (2:32). Have a listen to Up Tonight:

Start the Week Over was formed in 2019, when friends Bobby Gioiosa (Vocals, Guitar), Matt Wikstrom (Guitar), Stephen Dorris (Drums) Cooper Gould (Guitar, Keys), and Amanda Pasqualini (Bass) started to write songs and play open mics while growing their local following. The band was separated during the pandemic but continued to write and record new music over Discord. Embracing the chaos of the world they found themselves in, the band challenged themselves to write compelling pop songs that blend their broadest influences.

You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
