A year on from the release of their Greatest Hits album, The Boy Least Likely To have put together a collection of B sides and unreleased rarities. 13 tracks taken from their 16 years together as a band, including an orchestral version of their duet with Gwenno, It Could’ve Been Me, and a French version of Hugging My Grudge.
Like the rest of us, the band have been unable to see each other since March and had to put a pause on recording new songs together as the world went into lockdown. They spent their time apart going through old hard drives and CDs to see what they could find.
The 13 songs that make up The Wrong End Of A Rainbow: A Collection Of B Sides and Rarities is the result of that treasure hunt. It features A World Of Polka Dots, the Boy Least Likely To’s synth-pop tribute to Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. It originally featured in the BBC documentary Polka Dot Superstar: The Amazing World of Yayoi Kusama. As well as a reworking of live favorites Rock Upon A Porch With You and the never before released Little Boxes.
