Stuck Out Announces New EP, Shares Lead Single “Mindless”

Hailing from Melbourne, Stuck Out are thrilled to announce the release of their second EP, Lie Through Your Teeth out on December 18 via  Sharptone Records.

Lie Through Your Teeth is an EP based around the consequences when we lie to others, we lie to ourselves, and we in turn are lied to. The EP looks at a range of circumstances where the truth is withheld and how that affects everyone in the situation.

“When we approached this EP, we wanted to create something that translated into our high energy live performances. This has resulted in an aggressive, powerful yet polished sound that we believe is our best release to date.” says vocalist, Josh Walker.

They also released the first single from the upcoming EP, Mindless which features Mikaila Delgado from Yours Truly.

Josh Walker discusses the meaning behind “Mindless,”: “This song is based around conversations I’ve had with people close to me regarding racism, sexism, and a range of humanitarian issues. Mindless is about calling your friends out for their shitty comments and rebuking the excuses they use to justify the vitriol that comes out of their mouths. Everyone has a choice to either speak up against injustice or let it pass without a reply.” He adds, “The end of the song is to illustrate that nobody’s perfect, myself in particular, but the important thing is that you continue to educate yourself and work to become a better ally for every person on this planet.”

Lie Through Your Teeth Tracklisting:

1. Inverse

2. False Promise

3. Hollow

4. Mindless feat. Mikaila Delgado of Yours Truly

You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
