Talkboy has shared their nostalgia-tinged EP lead single ‘Stupid Luck’.
The new single demonstrates an increasingly mature approach to their songwriting, the group’s sentimental offering proves a welcome addition to their catalog, and follows acclaimed debut EP ‘Over & Under’, with widespread praise.
Having kept busy in lockdown with their ‘Empty Days Club’ charity EP release alongside fellow Yorkshire risers Marsicans, The Golden Age of TV, and The Howl & The Hum, Talkboy are now ramping up preparations for 2021 with a second EP and multiple live dates already in the works as they look to kick off their new phase in style.
Detailing ‘Stupid Luck’, the band added: “As a group of people we love to push the blame around and look for excuses – trying to find little life get-out clauses that justify our existence as big kids. Birthdays are beginning to become things that are scary events where you realize maybe stuff hasn’t turned out quite how you planned. That being said, I think it’s good to remember although that may be the case and that being driven is important for sure, being able to realize how lucky you are is too”.
