Alex McArtor ” Touch “

17-year-old Alex McArtor has released a new single Touch, which is taken from her recently released debut EP Spoken Word. Touch is dark and moody and is refined by McArtors dramatic vocals. The accompanying video is about “being alone in your own head and in a big city. It’s a deeply personal song filled with angst and self-reflection. I wanted to create a video that conveyed those things in an edgy, urban environment like Brooklyn & NYC.”

Monogem ” so Many Ways ( Penguin Prison Remix )

MONOGEM is the moniker under which singer and songwriter Jen Hirsh creates sleek, glittering melodies, suffused with the sweet aftertaste of soul.  In the cosmos, a monogem ring is a supernova remnant, the leftover glow from an exploded star. One of the largest monogem rings in the universe is located near the Gemini and Cancer constellations.  Born in late June, Jen is on the cusp of Gemini-Cancer, and thus, MONOGEM rang true and stuck. She has just released So Many Ways..a Penguin Prison Remix. The song is a sultry electronic gem that harkens back to the days of disco. So grab you boogie shoes and dance along with So Many Ways.

Astrina ” You Should Run “

ASTRINA (formerly known as Daria Black) is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who has fashioned a deeply profound breed of Indie Pop. Her music is inspired by acts like Muse, The xx and Radiohead. she has just released a new single titled You Should Run, which she calls a seductive warning song. Besides Astrina’s vocals which are flawless, You Should Run has an impressive amount of percussion instruments in it- at least 20.

Skyler Stonestreet ” Everything It Wasn’t “

Skyer Stonestreet is no newcomer to the music scene she has plenty of hits under her belt, having co-written and sung on Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF,” The Chainsmokers’ “Kanye,” and has written songs for artists such as Marshmello (“Chasing Colors”). Her new single Everything It Was is a light and airy song about a dual responsibility of a failed relationship The dark nature of the song is juxtaposed with the pop-based sounding melody.

About Teri (1811 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
